2025 MONSTER DASH 5KM
Calling all brave souls and daring spirits! Join us for Burnaby’s annual Halloween-themed race, the Monster Dash 5KM! This spine-chilling event is set to take place on Sunday, October 26th, in Burnaby, BC, and costumes are highly encouraged. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking for a frightfully good time, the Monster Dash is the perfect way to get in the Halloween spirit.
We also have the Mini Monster Dash 400-metre run designed especially for our little monsters. Perfect for our mini goblins, superheroes, ghosts and creatures who want to participate and run the track in Swangard Stadium in a festive, fun, and safe environment. Costume is strongly encouraged.

Mini Monster Dash

The Mini Monster Dash is a 400 Metre Dash around the Swangard Stadium Track. Come dressed as your favourite superhero, ghost or cartoon character. The Mini Monster Dash is fun for kids of all ages!

The minimum recommended age requirement is 10 years old and above. All children participating in the course must possess the physical, mental, and emotional capabilities to complete it while adhering to proper course etiquette. For children aged 10 to 12 years, a Registered Adult must accompany them during the run. Parents are responsible for making appropriate decisions regarding their child's participation based on their ability, size, and confidence level. Children aged 13 to 17 years can participate without an adult chaperone but must follow all course rules and regulations. The legal guardian of any participant under 18 years old must sign the event waiver(s).
Children under the age of 9 and under are encouraged to participate in the Mini Monster Dash 400 M race. Families are encouraged to stay and cheer on the 5K participants after the Mini Monster Dash. There will be lots of Food and Drinks for all the participants.
Please note that there are no refunds for entries payments or transfers. The run start time is at 9 am. sharp Spectators have complimentary access to the vendors and kids' fun zone. By attending this event, you acknowledge and agree that you may be photographed or recorded. These photos and videos may be used for promotional, marketing, or social media purposes by the event organizers.
All participants must collect their race kits during the designated Package Pickup hours.
