My Story…
On Nov 15, 2024, I lost Kai to suicide. Kai was only 27, with a degree and diploma in hand, and just starting life as a professional. There are no words for the heartbreak of that day—or the days since. Losing my child, who I loved with all my heart, has left me devastated. This September, I’ll walk to honor Kai’s memory and support the Distress Centres of Greater Toronto, who offer 24/7 crisis support that may save someone you love. I’ve never done anything like this or asked people to donate, but this matters. If the walk and funds raised help even one person hold on, it’s worth every step. My goal is to raise $1,000. The Centre provides free, compassionate help to people in crisis, those in emotional pain, people thinking about suicide, and families who are grieving. By supporting my walk, you help raise awareness, reduce stigma, and fund services that save lives. Thank you for reading, thank you for caring, and thank you for being part of this with me.
