Terms & Conditions
Please read all the terms and conditions (“Terms”) carefully. Everyone who registers to participate in Selangor Perpaduan Run 2025 (the “Event”) (and, where applicable, in the case of a participant below the age of 18 years, the participant’s parent, guardian, or legal representative) (“Participant”) declares and acknowledges having read, understood, and agreed to the Terms below and undertakes to comply with and be bound by them.
1. Event Organization
1.1. Selangor Perpaduan Run 2025 is held by EXCO Kemajuan Desa, Perpaduan & Pengguna Negeri Selangor, Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam and Pertubuhan Gerak Prihatin Ehsan (the “Organiser”). 1.2. The Organiser reserves the right to postpone or cancel the Event at any time.
2. Event Date
2.1. The Event will be held on 15th June 2025 (“Date”). 2.2. The Organiser reserves the right to change the Date, venue, or to cancel the Event at any time without prior notice. In such an event, no refund of fees will be issued, and the Organiser shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused.
3. Eligibility
3.1. The Event is open to all, and each Participant attends the Event on his or her own free will.
3.2. The Event offers 5KM route. Route is open to all participants with no age limit; however, participants below 16 years old MUST be accompanied by at least one adult participant aged 18 years or older from the same category who will be responsible for their safety.
● In the event that a guardian/parent registers for a different category or chooses not to participate, the child’s safety will not fall under the supervision of the Event Organiser.
● Guardians/parents are entirely responsible for the safety of their children, and the Organiser bears no responsibility for any incident occurring on the Event day.
3.3. Lucky Draw Prizes Winners: Winners must be personally present to collect their prizes after the race upon the announcement of results. All uncollected prizes will be forfeited.
3.4. The Organiser reserves the right to request identity verification (e.g., via identity card or passport) for prize collection or confirmation of eligibility.
4. Event Registration
4.1. By registering and providing any personal information to participate in Selangor Perpaduan Run 2025 or any related activities, the Participant gives express permission to the Organiser and any partners or sponsors to use such information for marketing, statistical, and planning purposes.
4.2. By registering, the Participant agrees to provide his/her name and personal details to the insurance partner of the Event for the purchase of Group Personal Accident Insurance (as mandated by the Sports Commissioner).
4.3. The Organiser reserves the right to contact the Participant by any means; any notice sent to the registered email address is deemed received by the Participant.
4.4. If inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete information is provided, the Organiser may suspend or terminate the registration without refunding any fees.
4.5. The Organiser is not responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete or inaccurate Registration Data.
4.6. Once registration is processed, there will be no refund for any Participant who does not eventually take part in the Event, regardless of the reason.
4.7. All T-Shirt measurements are subject to a tolerance of 0.79 +/- inch.
4.8. The design, colour, and material of merchandise are subject to change without notice.
4.9. No refund on registration fees will be provided if the Event is cancelled due to force majeure (including but not limited to haze, storm, rain, inclement weather, wind, act of God, terrorism, or other conditions beyond the control of the Organiser).
5. Event Participation
5.1. Participants must wear the bib issued during Entry Pack Collection at all times during the Event. Entry will be denied to any Participant not wearing the bib.
5.2. While every reasonable precaution is taken to ensure safety, participation in the Event is at the Participant’s own risk. The Organiser is not liable for any injury or death arising before, during, or after the Event. Participants are advised to seek a medical examination or consult a medical practitioner prior to registration and before Event day.
5.3. It is each Participant’s responsibility to notify the medical staff or safety marshal of any injury or condition that prevents participation.
5.4. Participants must immediately cease participation if advised by any official medical staff or safety marshal.
5.5. The Organiser is not responsible for any loss, damage, or theft of property during the Event.
5.6. The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Rules and Regulations of the Event as updated on the Event’s Registration Platform; it is the Participant’s responsibility to remain informed of any changes.
5.7. The Organiser is not responsible for errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, delays in operations, communications failures, or any technical malfunction of networks or online systems that may affect the Event.
5.8. Participants must ensure they have read and understood the Personal Data Protection Notice regarding the collection, retention, use, disclosure, and management of personal data. By registering, Participants authorize the Organiser (and its subsidiaries) to collect and use such data for the purposes described.
6. Race Pack Collection
6.1. Race packs, which include essential items (e.g., bib, T-shirt, etc.), will be available for collection on the designated date and venue as announced by the Organiser.
6.2. Uncollected race packs will be held for one month from the collection date, after which they will be forfeited.
7. Participant Waiver
7.1. By participating in Selangor Perpaduan Run 2025, I/we accept all risks inherent to participation, which may result in loss of life or permanent injury. I/we agree not to hold liable any person associated with the organization or conduct of the Event, including event organisers, promoters, sponsors, managers, officers, employees, agents, contractors, volunteers, and medical personnel, for any matter arising from my participation. This release is binding on my heirs, executors, and assigns.
7.2. I/we acknowledge that parking a vehicle during the Event is at my own risk, and the Organiser is not responsible for any loss or damage to the vehicle.
7.3. I/we recognize the risks of serious injury or death due to various factors (including but not limited to overexertion, equipment failure, dehydration, accidents, and weather conditions) associated with the Event.
7.4. I/we agree not to participate in the Event unless I have adequately prepared and received clearance from a medical practitioner regarding my physical fitness.
7.5. I/we understand that all information provided will be stored in the Organiser’s database and that certain personal or biological details (such as name, date of birth, state of origin, race results, and career highlights) may be released to the media upon request.
7.6. I/we agree to abide by all Rules and Regulations related to safe and fair sporting practices.
7.7. I/we grant the Organiser unconditional rights to use photographic images and personal information in any media form (including advertising, trade, promotional materials, etc.) without any compensation, and I waive any rights to inspect or approve the finished products.
7.8. I/we confirm that I have obtained any necessary permission from family or relevant sporting associations to participate in this Event.
