30 Birds Foundation Secret 3k

In 2015, history was made when the first-ever marathon was held in Afghanistan where both men and women could participate — but they had to keep it a secret. In a country where it was dangerous for women to walk or run freely outdoors, a courageous community paved a new way forward. By creating safe races, they helped create safe spaces — and a new hope for the next generation.

30 Birds Foundation was born from this same spirit of courage and possibility. What began as a mission to evacuate and resettle Afghan girls and their families has grown into a global movement dedicated to education, leadership, and freedom for Afghan women and girls. This year, we are proud to become the new home of the Secret 3K — and we can’t wait to run with you!
