Run The River Fall challenge offers a 5km, 10km and half marathon
Join us for the fall version of our Run the River challenge. Challenge yourself to run further or faster than you did in the spring.
The race starts and finishes at Louise McKinney Riverfront park with all routes following the river valley pathways. We have partnered with River Valley Adventure Company who will be providing you with a post race BBQ (included in your entry fee). Beer and other beverages are available for purchase.
The legendary kids events will happen in the grassy area right near the start/finish line.

Legendary juniors event Spots remaining: 50
Join our Legendary Juniors Event! Bring your kids to the Run the River location on Sept 28th to experience both our Mini Legends Stadium. Kids will be led through run, jump and throw stations by our legendary crew! For children ages 5 - 12 (inclusive).

Challenge yourself!
Challenge yourself to run further or faster than you did in the spring! Run the 5km in the spring then challenge yourself to run 10km in the fall. Or choose your distance and challenge yourself to run faster at the same distance on the same course in the fall.
Route maps
All distances start and finish at Louise McKinney Riverfront park (lower level). These routes have a high likelihood of changing due to planned construction on pathways near the Rossdale water plant. Further details should be known by July and maps will be updated at that time.
Race package pick up
Package pick up will be at Fast Trax Run and Ski Shop (7326 101 Avenue) from 10:30 - 3:00 on Saturday, September 27. You will be asked to sign up for a package pick up window of time starting one week before the race. This time frame is subject to change based on registration numbers.
