Tears to Hope Walk
The Tears to Hope Society invites you to participate in the 7th annual Tears To Hope Walk in honour and remembrance of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG). We support men and boys as well and use the MMIWG acronym because that is the movement that brought this issue to the forefront.
This particular event registration is FREE/ It's a great opportunity for schools to participate and not have that financial barrier. We want to give you and your students the opportunity to make a difference, show your support and educate them. Educating youth on how to use their voice, knowing how to treat one another, learning about consent and knowing the red flags when a relationship starts to go in the wrong direction are ways we can prevent further missing/murder cases.
This in person event takes place along the Highway of Tears in Northern BC. We invite you to participate from wherever you are. Make a day of it! Run or walk, bike or hike then have a celebratory gathering if you'd like. As long as you're getting outside and getting exercise, you can walk at your leisure that weekend!
