Our story…
We were not prepared to say goodbye, and then to say goodbye again.
Soup and I have been working to create our family since the fall of 2019. We have weathered two miscarriages, a surgery from complications of a miscarriage, the preterm birth of a beautiful baby girl, and two devastating second trimester losses/terminations for medical reasons.
We say it a lot - especially with the way women's reproductive rights are being eroded around the world today - but we honestly do not know where we would be without BC Women's Hospital/Foundation and the Butterfly Run.
This year we run in memory of Benny, Jude and our two other butterflies. We run for our bright and bold daughter. We run for the nurses, doctors, counsellors, and social workers. We run for other parents like us, and we run for loving friends and family like you.
