Take the Plunge at the Ice Cold Classic – Sydney’s Boldest Winter Swim

Brace yourself for the chill and embrace the spirit of giving at the inaugural Ice Cold Classic, held on the Winter Solstice – 22 June 2025 – at Manly Beach. Hosted by Manly Life Saving Club, this heartwarming event invites ocean lovers and cold water adventurers to dive in for a cause.

Swim 1km in the cool winter sea, then warm up with a cup of hot soup at the finish line — just don’t forget to BYO mug! It’s a unique challenge designed to test your limits while giving back to the community.

To keep our costs down, we’re skipping the timing chips and graciously accepting a donation of shiny new Cole Classic silicon swim caps from our big sister swim.

More than just a swim, the Ice Cold Classic supports One Meal, a grassroots charity whose volunteers deliver over 20,000 meals every week to people in need — from families escaping domestic violence to those facing homelessness and illness.
