My Story…
Welcome to Run for Hope !
On October 4th, I am lacing up as part of the Shepherds of Good Hope team in the 5K "Race to End Homelessness" as every single day, we meet people in our city who are navigating unimaginable trauma, chronic homelessness and deep isolation. And yet, even in the darkest moments, they ask for something profoundly human: hope and dignity.
I believe that one of the most transformative acts is to pay attention, to notice and to listen. A virtuous act of irrefutable compassion restores the lost voices of those with trauma and making a donation helps us provide more than shelter - it offers connection, community and the unwavering belief that every person matters.
The Race to End Homelessness is my first ever race and I am dedicating this effort to those we support in our community so we may do so much more together than cross a finish line ! Tonight and every night, 3000 people in Ottawa lack the dignity of housing, shelter or a warm meal. I am asking us to donate as your generosity is a voice to restore dignity to break down stigma, build understanding and create a city where hope will never be out of reach.
Let’s run with compassion.
Let’s run for hope.
Thank you for considering my ask to support those experiencing homelessness in our city.
