Raise money for Cancer Council Victoria
I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.
Hi, we’re Emily and Ruby , two 25-year-olds organising Friends Run Fest, a community fun run taking place on Saturday 13th December at the Pillars of Wisdom in Melbourne’s Botanic Gardens.
This event is all about celebrating movement, friendship, and giving back. Like so many others, we’ve both experienced the heartbreak of losing loved ones to cancer. These losses have motivated us to take action and create something positive – a day that brings people together to support an important cause.
Friends Run Fest offers a 5km, 10km, and 21.1km run or walk, and is designed to be a space where friends can come together, shake off the nerves and head noise, and simply enjoy the joy of movement and community.
Last year, our first ever Friends Run Fest raised $13,000 with over 150 participants. This year, we’re aiming even higher with a fundraising goal of $15,000 to support the incredible work of Cancer Council Victoria.
Every dollar raised helps fund cancer research, prevention, and support services – and we’re so grateful for your help in making this event meaningful and impactful.
