New Exciting Features!
This year, we are thrilled to introduce several new features to enhance your race day experience:
- New Course: Enjoy scenic wide paths of the Mallard Lake Forest Preserve, limestone, some asphalt, certified course and flush toilet bathrooms.
- Kids 1/3 Mile Dash: Free for all children 9 & under. Registered participants receive an awesome goody bag and ribbon to celebrate.
- Cash Prizes: Awarded to the top two 5k male & female finishers. $100 1st & $75 2nd. If high school athlete will give scholarship.
- Medals:1st, 2nd & 3rd places in all 5K age categories 9 & under to 80 & over

5K Team Event :
Grab a Group of 3 or more (any age) to form a team. Team Prizes for Best Time(averaged), Largest Group and Highest Fundraising Team.
How to Sign up Team & Team Members: Pick a name. Sign up individually. First member of group to register will create team name and will be captain. All other members will search for that team name when they sign up.
Team Prizes: Teams are made up of 3 or more members. On race day we average the times of your team participants. Lowest team average wins. All team members can still qualify for age group awards. Members can join the team, and be virtual , however, their time will not be averaged in for race day prizes.

CASH PRIZES -Top Two Overall Male and Female NEW! 1st, 2nd & 3rd places- Male and Female 5 year age groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over. The Race To Stop Hunger 5k started in 2015 and raises money for Kids Against Hunger-Illinois. This is our 11th annual race and through this event we have fed over 336,462 children in the last 10 years! Your registration dollars and donations buy the raw products we use at packing events and create the meals we send to the children and families. Our satellite has packed 5.2 million meals and going strong!
Our new facility for volunteers to pack this nourishing food is at 200 N. Garden Ave. in Roselle,IL. We have helped Ukraine, Turkey, Philippines and Haiti since covid and we bring volunteers and funds together to package these meals and get them to those in need. We bring businesses and the community together to team build and pack the meals we send. We are a non-profit, volunteer driven, locally funded organization that packages dry, highly nutritious food for hungry kids and families around the world and around the corner.
