Our story…

We Run for ALD because of our ALD warrior Nicholas whose vision is the reason behind Knockout ALD and our Run for ALD event. Nicholas had a successful bone marrow transplant (umbilical cord blood donor) at age 11 at the University of Minnesota to stop the progression of his ALD. He is now a thriving college student and competitive triathlete! Our goal is to do our part so that other ALD boys have a chance to live their best lives.  We are forever grateful to Dr. Lund and the team at the U of M for all they do for ALD boys and their families. Thank you for helping raise awareness of ALD and funds to help further ALD research at the U of M!
