About Saugeen Hospice
Saugeen Hospice is a not-for-profit community corporation that will be starting a new project and endeavour in south Grey and Bruce Counties. Their plan is to build a 6-bed hospice in Eastridge Park (Walkerton), to serve the residents of South Bruce, Brockton, Arran-Elderslie, Hanover, West Grey, Minto and surrounding areas. Once built, the hospice will offer compassionate end-of-life care, at no cost, to those who need it most. Fundraising is one of the main priorities at this time as the organization tries to reach their fundraising goal and make the Saugeen Hospice a reality. Please note, all donations, above $20.00 are eligible to receive a charitable tax receipt. To date, over $6,000,000 has been raised through the generosity of businesses, organizations, individuals, fundraising efforts, etc. The Municipality of Brockton donated three acres of land in the new Eastridge Business Park (east side of Walkerton), and planning is underway. A special thank you to everyone involved in Pedal for Hospice. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
