Part of the 2025 China Southern Airlines NZ Cross Country Championships
Gather your friends, workmates, school crew or club mates for a fun and fast-paced evening under the lights at North Hagley Park! The Open Twilight Relay is a mixed 4 x 2km event designed for teams of all abilities. No spikes, no pressure—just good vibes, great atmosphere, and a chance to be part of the action on NZ’s biggest cross country weekend.

Get your costumes ready! Prizes are up for grabs throughout the night, including for the best dressed team.
Whether you’re racing in costume, cheering the loudest, or just having the most fun, there’s a chance to win. We’ll also be giving away spot prizes at the end of the event — so bring the energy, bring the laughs, and you might just walk away a winner!

- Date: Saturday 2 August 2025
- Time: Social Twilight Relay start time is 5.25pm
- Location: North Hagley Park, Christchurch
Twilight Relay teams:
- Teams are made up of 4 people, each completing 2km
- The only requirement for the Twilight Relay is that all members must be 10 years or older on the day of the event
- All 4 team members must be entered and paid for in the same transaction
- Entry fees increase on 24 July and entries close at 11.59pm on 30 July
