Friday Night Packet Pickup: Friday, September 12 from 5:00PM-7:00PM (at Superhero Center)

Race Day Registration and Packet Pick Up: Saturday, September 13 at 8:00 AM (at Doty Park)

Race Start: Saturday, September 13 at 9:00 AM

Race Location: The race will be held at Doty Park, 365 W Locust Street in Belvidere. Upon arrival use the easternmost entrance to the park. Follow the information/direction signs on where to park.

The Superhero Center for Autism is a non-profit organization offering support, education, and resources for individuals with autism and other special needs and their families. We have opened a community center in Loves Park, IL where kiddos with special needs can just be: be safe, be empowered, be supported, and be themselves. This is a judgment free place, open to all kiddos with special needs and their families.

We are so appreciative of the generous support of our community and sponsors and look forward to partnering for this special event that directly benefits Superhero Center kids and families.

Recent CDC data indicates increasing prevalence of autism, now accounting for 1 in 31 children that will be diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder by age 8. Our community continues to need a place that supports children with autism and other special needs and their families. Proceeds from the 5K Fundraiser will go to support initiatives and programs like the following:

• Our annual Open House and Resource Fair, which this year also includes a Safety Expo with giveaways for adaptive home renovations, safe recreation, community safety organizations, and training opportunities.

• Our Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat, with a new sensory-friendly program for Fall 2025.

• Purchasing games, books, and art supplies for our brand-new Superhero Teen Room.

• Ongoing open gym hours, sensory friendly holiday events, and parent support groups!
