Help me support families with sick kids
We are participating in the Ronald McDonald Family Walk in memory of Dylan. He was born prematurely at 32 weeks and faced a number of health issues following his birth. He fought so hard to be with us but after 10 days with us he wasn't able to overcome all the obstacles and sadly passed away. He is forever part of our family though and the RMHC Family Walk allows us to keep his memory and story alive. Ronald McDonald House gave us a place to stay in the hospital that allowed us to spend as much time as we could with Dylan during his time in the NICU. It offered us a retreat after long hours in Dylan's room. We were provided meals to help keep us going each day and it gave our family a space to gather while visiting Dylan. Now it's our turn to help raise money for this to be available to other families in similar situations. All the money raised through this event will help families have one less thing to worry about while fighting for their precious babies/kids.
Description
I'm supporting Ronald McDonald House by raising funds to support families with seriously ill or injured children. Last year families saved more than $7 million thanks to the free lodging, meals, snacks and programming provided by RMHC-UM. They even have a K-12 school so families can all stay together during a child's illness or hospitalization. The care and attention that is placed on making a stay at Ronald McDonald House as welcoming and stress-free for families who are dealing with an already difficult situation is truly amazing!
