Our story…

Both of my girls were NICU babies. My oldest had a heart condition when in the womb and came at 36 weeks. She stayed in the NICU for 5 days to check on her heart and for her breathing to get better. After getting RSV, she developed reactive airways disease (RAD) and was hospitalized 3 times within 6 months. Now at 4 years old, she is doing great! My youngest was born at 26 weeks gestation and had to stay in the NICU/ICC for 12 weeks. She has premature lungs (BPD) and RAD so we have had 3 hospitalizations in the last 7 months. We appreciate Ronald McDonald as it has provided us with snacks, coffee and meals when our girls have ended up in the ICU. They sometimes have giveaways during special times (like if you happen to be there during mother's day or holidays). Thanks so much to Ronald McDonald for the support during unexpected hard times and thanks to all the volunteers and donators as it wouldn't be possible without all of you!

Description

We are supporting Ronald McDonald House to help raise funds that support families with seriously ill or injured children. Last year families saved more than $7 million thanks to the free lodging, meals, snacks and programming provided by RMHC-UM. They even have a K-12 school so families can all stay together during a child's illness or hospitalization. The care and attention that is placed on making a stay at Ronald McDonald House as welcoming and stress-free for families who are dealing with an already difficult situation is truly amazing!
