My Story…
As most of you know, in 2006 I was diagnosed with malignant peritoneal mesothelioma. I endured years of surgeries and chemotherapy treatment fighting for survival. Although it has been almost 19 years since that day, I still live the the diagnosis looming over me, and travel for scans and followups out of town. Miles for Meso benefits the Asbestos Awareness Disease Organization, which has battled relentlessly for the complete ban of asbestos worldwide. This is such important work-- to save future generations from the horrors of this cancer and other diseases caused by asbestos.
