This beautiful 21.1K & 7 Mile course circles Burnaby lake, giving you the opportunity to enjoy fresh air, exercise and more chances to view birds and animals in this wilderness environment. Join other walkers & runners on this scenic course throughout the trails of Burnaby Lake. Located in the middle of the city, Burnaby Lake Regional Park is a stunning wildlife sanctuary. The lake was created by a glacier 12,000 years ago and its shores were home to sawmills in the late 1800's. The race will provide you with an opportunity to be active while enjoying the scenic trails of Burnaby Lake. We race Burnaby Lake twice a year with annual races, Shamrock’n Race in March and the Rubber Ducky in October. The Shamrock’n Race 7 Mile and Half Marathon circle the lake clockwise and the Rubber Ducky 7 Mile and Half Marathon circle the lake counter clockwise. |

Charlford House Society for Women
Since 1970, Charlford House has provided a supportive treatment facility for women who are ready to move on from their substance addiction.
Charlford House is a non-profit rehab residence, not an institution. All of our empathetic program staff have had personal experience with addiction, but have been clean and sober for a long time. They have all had formal education and training that equips them to help others on the path to recovery.
The women who come to our facility are embarking on a journey to recovery, needing the safe and structured support of professional staff and peers. For this reason, we are situated in a family-oriented neighbourhood in Burnaby, British Columbia.
