The SMSS will be putting on our 22nd annual fundraising event, Miles for Smiles on Saturday, September 13th 2025. Our walk/run will be held in Meewasin Park (North) with 2.5km, 5km, and 10km events. We will also be offering a virtual option for those unable to attend in-person. The events will begin at 8:30am, but we encourage participants to arrive at 8:00am to check-in.
All proceeds raised will go towards Sanctum Care Group.
Sanctum Care Group is an NGO (non-governmental organization) formed in 2015. Sanctum provides care for people living with HIV, or at-risk of acquiring HIV, that is dignified, non-judgmental and unconditional. Recognizing the interconnected challenges our clients face, SCG facilitates individualized and contextualized care for complex patient populations in collaboration with community partners through trauma informed, culturally responsive and evidence based interventions.
Miles for Smiles is an event organized by medical students at the University of Saskatchewan that welcomes community members and individuals of all abilities and promotes healthy and active lifestyles.
