Saturday morning = bush adventures in term 3
Discover some of the best pockets of bushland and trails in northern Sydney as we explore parks and reserves this term.
Whether you’re a total pro or just want to try something new, this is for YOU.
This week we head to Lane Cove National Park. There are trails, trees and rock features to explore.
You can race solo, team up with mates, or bring the fam for a chill group explore. Saturdays are all about soaking in the outdoors, diving into some nav. and just having a blast.
All you need? Comfy activewear and a little love for the outdoors. We’ll sort a map, a course, and even free tips to get you started. Easy, right? Beginners are totally welcome.

Meeting point - Scribbly Gums Picnic Area, Plassey Rd, Lane Cove National Park.

Access - Either walk in from the Plassey Rd National Park gate or drive, ride or walk in via Riverside Drive from Delhi Rd or Lane Cove Rd. If you do not have a National Parks annual pass, a day pass for vehicle access is $8. Note that the National Park gates do not open until 9am.
Start Window: 9:30am to 11am (start any time within this window)
Courses: Warm Up (recommended starting course for beginners), Short Line, Long Line, and Score.
SPORTident timing is used for all courses. If you do not own a SPORTident card, please hire one.
Normal entry fees (a small late fee applies if entering after midday on Thursday before the event):
Adults - $18 (members -15%)
School Students - $15 (members -15%)
Timing card hire - $4 ph
Prices include GST and merchant fees.
The student discount will automatically be applied.
Orienteering club members can also claim an additional discount through the use of the promo code "ONSW".

This is a great starting point for newcomers with a maximum distance of 1km. Try this out and then graduate to something more challenging for no further charge on event day. Bring comfy shoes and a taste for adventure!

Group member Closed
Bring some mates or the fam! Friends or family are welcome to accompany entrants on any course for free. Whilst there's no charge, please register group members individually so that we know who's coming. Group members do not need to hire a SPORTident card and do not receive an individual race map and course time. If group members would like their own map and result, enter a course and pay an entry fee (and still run together if you want).
