This course starts on a portion of the Carolina Thread Trail. The first 2 miles or so are located on the trail which is a combination of gravel/crushed stone, natural surface, boardwalk, sidewalk and mowed grass, natural wooded trail and not a greenway. The final mile is on the neighborhood streets back to the park.
