Start your Thanksgiving morning with the LINC’d Up Turkey Trot 5K & 1-Mile, a festive community run organized by the Coweta Youth Running Club! This family-friendly event takes place in Summer Grove and features the scenic LINC path.
Join runners and walkers of all ages as we kick off the holiday with a healthy tradition. Whether you’re an experienced runner or just out for a stroll, everyone is welcome to participate and celebrate the spirit of Thanksgiving.
All proceeds from the event will directly benefit Newnan Crossing Elementary and Welch Elementary schools. Bring your friends and family, lace up your running shoes, and help make a positive impact in our community.
All children 14 and under will receive a $10 discount for the 5k.

The prices below are the base race entry fees. Registration platforms are now required to display total cost including processing fees when you select your race.

Important Information:
The 5K is open to participants age 6 and older.
Limited parking is located in front of Summer Grove Town Hall. This lot will close at 7:45 AM and will likely fill well before then. Additional parking is available at Summer Grove Market Square, approximately a 15-minute walk from the race start, as well as the Newnan Centre, approximately a 25-minute walk (or 10-minute race warm up) along LINC from the race start. If you choose to street park, please do not double park or park along Summer Grove Parkway.
Important: Overlook Approach and the entrance/exit areas for the Summer Grove Town Hall lot will be inaccessible from 7:45 AM to 9:30 AM due to race activity. Please plan to arrive no later than 7:30 AM to ensure parking access and time to walk to the start line.
Beginning May 12, 2025, in accordance with the FTC Rule on Unfair or Deceptive Fees, registration costs will be displayed including all processing fees and applicable sales tax.

5K Course
The 5K course will be chip timed. It is USATF certified, meaning it meets the official distance and measurement standards required for national rankings and qualification. As a result, this race is an official qualifier for the Peachtree Road Race.

For the safety of all participants:
Headphones are strongly discouraged. We encourage running headphone-free so you can hear course directions and enjoy the full race experience.
Strollers are allowed, but participants using a stroller must start at the back of the race and exercise caution at all times.
Animals, bicycles, skateboards, roller skates, and similar devices are not permitted on the course.

- Race Management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions
- Registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to "Acts of God."
