t’s get moving this Christmas Season and start a new family tradition, New Mexico style! The 12k's of Christmas is coming to Southern New Mexico this December for the 12th running of the event.
This featured Runner's World event took a hiatus for several years, but is returning to Las Cruces for the 12th running.

Why Run It: Furry friends are welcome at all distances—12K, 6K, and 1.2K—of this annual holiday-themed race, which encourages costumes for both human and canine participants.
We are excited to host the inaugural 12th running of the 12 K & 6 K events here in Las Cruces.
All events are open to all runners and walkers. Furry Friends are welcome!
Your 12k, 6k, and 1.2K registration includes a limited edition 12k's of Christmas Custom Christmas Ornament Finishers Medal, custom 12K's socks, 12K's sticker, Holiday Bib , and a Santa Hat.
Proceeds from this event benefit local animal rescue.
Charitable Donation
We thank all of the pet lovers who came out to our previous 12 Ks of Christmas events. Over the past 11 years, the 12K's of Christmas has helped over 2,200 pets find loving homes.
Plus, this event has raised $100,000 for animal rescue.

Start and finish will be at the south end of the La Llorona trail, enter from Calle de Norte Rd. Join other participants and friends for this annual Christmas Celebration.
What you need to know:
- Early Packet Pickup is available on Friday, 12/12, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Bluebird Running Company, 136 S.Water St, Las Cruces, 88001
- Saturday 12/13 Packet Pickup / Check in: Starts at 7 a.m. Location for Packet pickup will be at the South end La Llorona trail Start / Finish area.
- 8:00 a.m. 12K Run Start
- 8:05 a.m. 6K Run Start
- 8:10 a.m. 1.2K Walk Start
- Where: Race Start / Finish and race day packet pickup /check in: La Llorona trail, South end
- What: Run or walk any event in your best holiday outfit!
- Online registration required!!
- The event is stroller and pet-friendly.
- Awards to the top 3 male and female overall 12K and 6K events,
- Awards for the best-dressed human and furry friend!

Due to the upfront costs, all entry and sale fees are non-refundable. We understand plans change and circumstances beyond our control occur. Yet, we feel it is most fair to apply a uniform policy instead of being subjective on who should receive a Refund, Transfer and or Deferrals. Refund, Transfer and or Deferrals will not be issued for event cancellation.
- We highly suggest you purchase the race insurance (Race Roster Enhanced Refund Protection Program) during registration, then file a claim if need be with said insurance provider.
