Rhino Run for Education

After four years of stampeding for student success at Gaston College, we’re proud to build on our partnership with K-12 public schools in Gaston and Lincoln Counties for an even bigger, better RHINO RUN FOR EDUCATION.

Show your support for students of all ages across Gaston and Lincoln counties by joining us on Sept. 27, 2025. This community event, held at Gaston College’s beautiful Dallas campus, features a 5K run and a 2K walk or fun run. When you register, you can choose to designate a portion of your registration fee to directly support to Gaston College, Gaston County Schools, Lincoln County Schools or Lincoln Charter School.

Bring the whole family and help us continue to build momentum in our community and schools!

This race event will include music from Gaston College’s WSGE Radio Station, local food/coffee trucks, and more.

Register by August 31, 2025, to guarantee a race t-shirt.

All participant results are based on the chip time from the individual runner crossing the start and finish lines. The 5K Run Course is USATF Certified: #NC21011DF

Age group and overall winners for the 5K will be recognized at the post-event awards ceremony.

Untimed 2K Run/Walk - 20% of registration will support a Lincoln or Gaston County School. $25 registration + $3.74 fees

Registration Policies

  1. There are NO refunds for this race if you did not enroll in the Refund Protection Program. Click here for transfer instructions.
  2. Race Management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to unfavorable conditions
  3. Registration fees are not refundable in the event of cancellation due to "Acts of God".
