YMCA Gobble Wobble 5k and 1 Mile Family Fun Run
Run Race Day Information:
Thank you for registering for our 4th Annual YMCA Gobble Wobble 5k and 1 Mile Family Fun Run! We are grateful that you will be spending some of your Thanksgiving holiday with us and appreciate your participation in supporting our local community. During your run/walk we hope you enjoy some of the landmarks and features of our Downtown area and that you will make lasting memories with your friends and family.
Schedule of Events:
Wednesday, November 26th
12 noon-8:00pm Early Bird Race Packet/T-Shirt Pick Up- Downtown YMCA
Thursday, November 27th
7:00am: Race Day Packet/ T-Shirt Pick Up and Race Day Registration Assistance Opens
8:00am: Food Drive Collection and commemorative cold weather beanie Opens (First 100 registered participants who donate on race day will receive commemorative gift)
8:30am: Opening Ceremonies/ Invocation/ Anthem
8:45am: 1 Mile Family Fun Run Begins
9:30am: 5k Begins
10:45am: Awards
Parking: Parking will be available on the southeast lot on the corner of Burnett and Ninth Street. Please note that Ninth Street will be closed from Scott Street to Austin Street

Route: Traffic should be minimal Downtown on Thanksgiving morning and volunteers will be stationed around the course to help ensure that you can safely pass the larger intersections and you are making the correct turns. There will be a water stop on Indiana Street just past the two-mile mark.

Food Drive: To benefit the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank, the Food Drive will take place on race day only. The Food Drive collection time will begin at 8:00am inside the Downtown YMCA. To be the first 100 registered participants donating, we ask that you form a line if you arrive prior to the 8:00am opening. Recognition gifts will be given there at the following check in station.
Awards: Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers of the 5k. The awards will consist of gift cards from local businesses. Participants of the 1 Mile Fun Run will be entered into a drawing for a prize.
