My dad is finishing his LAST CHEMO SESSION on November 11th!! 

He originally was going to be able to get the whipple procedure done to remove the tumor back in the spring with no chemo but half way through surgery they had to call it because the tumor was wrapped around a main artery. So chemo was the next option and what he chose to do.

After meeting with a few surgeons over the past few months, he found a great surgeon that he feels comfortable with in Pittsburgh who specializes in the Whipple procedure and told him that if he completed all his chemo, that surgery could be a success — and here we are!!  

Pre-surgery testing is on the 26th, and the big day is December 9th!I couldn’t be prouder of him (also to my mom for going through the whole thing with him). Through 11 chemo sessions, he’s stayed dedicated to taking care of his body holistically and staying strong. 

Since day 1 of finding out he had cancer through chemo he has been taking care of his body through cutting out things, eating certain foods, juicing every day and taking vitamins & supplements. Even after an undiagnosed infection turned into very severe sepsis where we almost lost him when he showed up at the hospital on his last breath, he bounced back like only Bob could and was playing 54 holes of golf a week after his 10th chemo! He’s been his own best advocate through this which is all I could ask for, asking important questions, switching doctors when needed and standing up for himself. 

Today we celebrate this HUGE milestone — the last chemo and one step closer to beating this once and for all! Here’s to a successful surgery this time around and going into 2026 cancer free!!
