This time of year, turkeys run for the hills, the hills of Habersham, that is!
Join us Saturday, November 15 for the 2nd annual
Great Turkey Chase Fun Run & 5K
benefiting Children's and Youth Missions at Clarkesville First Methodist.
Fun Run (8:30AM): For turkey chasing enthusiasts age 8 and younger. Can you run your age in laps around the field? You will get the official race medal at the finish line!
5k Race (9AM): Starting and ending behind Clarkesville First Methodist Church, runners will chase hand-plucked, locally sourced turkeys (runners) and see how many turkeys you catch as you race through the neighborhood streets.
5k race is professionally timed. Strollers welcome but pets prohibited. All 5k runners who sign up by November 1st will receive a race t-shirt. After November 1st, t-shirts are first come first serve until supplies run out.
