This time of year, turkeys run for the hills, the hills of Habersham, that is!
Join us Saturday, November 15 for the first annual
Great Turkey Chase Fun Run & 5K
benefiting Clarkesville First Methodist Preschool and Kindergarten.
Sign up by Sunday, Nov 2nd to receive your t-shirt the day of the race. For sign-ups after Nov 3rd, t-shirts will be available a few weeks after the race.
Fun Run (8:30AM): For turkey chasing enthusiasts age 8 and younger. Can you run your age in laps around the field?
5k Race (9AM): Starting and ending behind Clarkesville First Methodist Church, runners will chase hand-plucked, locally sourced turkey (runners) as they shake a tailfeather to avoid the clutches of the hungry crowds. How many turkeys can you catch as you race through the neighborhood streets? Who will earn the coveted title of “Winner Winner Turkey Dinner”?
5k race is professionally timed. Strollers welcome but pets prohibited. All runners receive a race t-shirt, and proceeds benefit Clarkesville First Methodist Preschool, committed to rooting children in faith and growing them in love.
