Countdown to event
SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO YOUTH CROSS COUNTRY CHALLENGE!
October 18th 2025 Centennial High School Desert
This is the 1st of its kind in the area. Our Goal is simple, provide more opportunities to grow Cross County in Southern New Mexico for our youth athletes while bringing communities together.
Open to athletes enrolled in elementary thru middle school (8th grade) throughout Southern New Mexico. Encouraging all schools: public, charter, private and home school to create a team, train athletes, and compete.
We plan on building off of this event next year by offering at least a 6 week school based XC teams with USATF safe sport certified coaches and volunteers to fill the void in some school systems' athletic programs while complimenting those systems with XC already. Please (see SNMYXCL website for more details)

How to Register
We tried to make it easy for you to register and start your team (if you have one). Coach may set up team without registering, first person on your team to register can create the team or if team is already created, select team name during registration. From there, any person can share the team name and a link for others to join or select team during registration. We also activated the features that allow you to change your team name. We are also happy to help with all of this.
If you don't have a team yet (or don't want the pressure of creating a team name), no worries! Go ahead and register yourself, and we can help you form a team later or just compete as an unattached runner.
When in doubt, ask! Remember, teams can have as many runners as you have, with only the top 5 places counting towards your score (with any other runners on your team helping to block other team members from securing lower points).
This event will be chip-timed.
