My Story…
Poppy, Hannah and Amelia are swimming in the Bronte to Bondi ocean swim events December 2025.
This event supports the Kids Cancer Project. The Kids Cancer Project has a goal of 0 children dying from cancer. What better goal could there be?!
Having spent 8+ months virtually living in the paediatric oncology ward at Randwick Children’s Hospital (RCH), I am scarred enough that I don’t have the words to share exactly why this is so vital. While it may seem obvious, the true pain and torture of the children’s experience is so vastly worse from anything imaginable, it’s best not to know.
I ask you to please dig deep and make an impactful donation towards literally saving the life of a child with cancer.
Children’s cancers, generally speaking, benefit from less than 4% of cancer research funding. This organisation however, are solely focused on research into better treatments for Children’s Cancers.
If you want to make an impactful donation towards genuinely improving the lives of children with cancer (and their friends and families), please don’t hesitate in supporting this amazing organisation.
Equally! Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions about any of the above. The world of cancer and children’s cancer is particularly complicated. I’m very happy to share any knowledge or experiences I can to help understanding.
Please accept our heartfelt thanks for reading this, and more importantly your support. The children and their families thank you too, even if they don’t know it yet.
Much love,
From Amelia, Hannah and Poppy.

Description
I’m diving into the Bondi to Bronte Ocean Swim to support The Kids’ Cancer Project and their mission for a 100% survival rate for all children diagnosed with cancer.
Since The Kids’ Cancer Project was founded in 1993, the survival rate for kids’ cancers has risen from 58% to 86%. That’s no accident - it’s thanks to amazing people like you who have donated to support lifesaving research.
But we can’t take our foot off the gas. Three kids still die from cancer in Australia every week, and the only way to change that is by continuing to fund research now.
Every stroke I swim and every dollar you give helps kids with cancer survive and thrive. Please donate today so we can find kinder, more effective treatments for all kids with cancer.
