The Kearney Family YMCA’s 23rd Annual Turkey Trot Participant Letter
Thank you for participating or volunteering in our 23rd Annual Turkey Trot & Gobble Wobble! We are very grateful to have you here whether you are running, walking, or volunteering to help with this event. Thank you to all of our sponsors without whom this event wouldn’t be possible!
IMPORTANT RACE DAY REMINDERS
Parking: No Parking at the YMCA. Additional parking available at both the eFree Church & Presbyterian Church. Please DO NOT park on 7th St. as it is part of our course.
Route volunteers: You will see volunteers throughout the route. Each group of volunteers will be wearing a Turkey Trot volunteer t-shirt and neon vest. If you need any medical attention let a volunteer know to seek help.
Important note: The race will be marked with arrows on the ground. Runners/Walkers are to follow the arrows.
Water stops: Water will be available at Country Club Lane/running trail on the 5 mile course and at the finish line.
Bikes: We will have lead bikes and SAG bikes for both races.
Race start/finish: At the Kearney Family YMCA, 4500 6th Ave (Kearney, NE)
· Gobble Wobble Race starts at 8:30 AM
· 5 Mile Race Starts at 9:00 AM
· 2 Mile Race Starts at 9:05 AM
Chip timing system: This event is being officially timed by TIMERGUYS. Results will be available at the finish line, on the Kearney Family YMCA Facebook page, and on Timerguys.com. Disposable chips are attached to the back of your race number...be careful not to bend.
Awards: Awards will be given to the top three female and male runners in each race and two TOP DOG awards for first place dogs in each race. These will be handed out as soon as results are verified. This year all participants will receive a medal at the finish line.
Furry Friends & Strollers: Pets and strollers are invited and welcome. We do kindly ask all runners with dogs or strollers to please start toward the back of the pack.'

Gobble Wobble Closed
Bring the kids (age 12 and under) for the Gobble Wobble. This pre-race kid event will be run at the YMCA and is approximately one mile in length.
