Event Details:
- Location: Bike racks and the registration tent are on the grassed area between the Youth Centre and the skate park, east of the Busselton Jetty.
- Safety: TRYstars will have their race number written on their left hand for safety. After finishing, please remind your child to visit the desk so we can mark them off and confirm they’re safe.
- Post-Race: Fruit will be available for the kids to enjoy.
Volunteers Needed:
Any parents who can assist with guiding turns and managing foot traffic on the course would be greatly appreciated. Please see Christine in the morning if you’re able to help.
Important Notes:
- Encourage your child to stay left at all times while running and riding (and when they should use their bell) and to be mindful of pedestrians as the path is shared and can be busy in the morning.
- If the designated age-category distance feels too far for your child, they are welcome to drop down to a shorter distance. Please let us know during registration.
- Swimming is optional. If your child doesn’t want to swim, they can walk along the beach, stay in the shallows, or wait at the swim exit to continue with the bike leg. Swims will only be waist-deep, so children can stand at all times.

TRYstars:
U7's 250m Run / 1km Bike / 250m Run - There will be earlier turn 500m down the path for the bike and a shorter turn on the run, to align with TWA rules for both the bike and run leg.
7 - 9's: 500m Run / 2km Bike / 500m Run - TRYstars will ride 1 km down the path to complete the 2 km bike leg and one lap of the run course.
10-12: 500m Run / 4km Bike / 1km Run -TRYstars will complete two laps of the bike leg and two laps of the run leg.
All TRYstars will remain on the path throughout the event – no road sections, and volunteers will be stationed at all turns to assist.
