Countdown to event
The event comprises four swim distances:
400m (Jump in the Lake) swim; open to swimmers from the age of 8 years and above. Swimmers aged 8 years must be accompanied by a guardian.
800m swim; open to swimmers from the age of 10 years and above.
1600m (1.6km) swim; open to swimmers from the age of 11 years and above (includes Closest to Nominated Time winners in each age category). Note: The wearing of watches, timing devices, data collection devices, smart goggles etc. is NOT permitted for the 1600m (1.6km) event
3200m (3.2km) swim; open to swimmers from the age of 12 years and above.
Please Note: The Lake is within a National Park and no dogs or other pets are allowed, other than registered Assistance Dogs with Certificates.
The new lakeside restaurant "The Flackseed" will be open for meals on the day using local produce and, together with the neighbouring Kiosk provides a selection of coffees, light refreshments, ice creams and snacks.
Late entries on the day at the Lake will be accepted albeit, a late entry fee for all events will apply, except the 400m swim. Payment by cash or card is available for late entries & raffle purchases.

39th Lake Leschenaultia OWS
- Entries are now opened
- Late registrations will be accepted until 9:00am on the day of the event, 9th November, 2025 at the Lake
- To stay plastic free, we will not be handing out bottled water. Water will be available so please bring your own water bottle to refill.
WOW series of Community Open Water Swims - 2025
The Lake Leschenaultia OWS is proudly hosted as part of the WOW Community Swim Open Water Swims and are designed for swimmers of all ages and abilities to experience the thrill of open water swimming in a range of settings and over a variety of distances, and to encourage participation in community events as part of a healthy lifestyle.
The Lake Swim is the only OWS fresh-water swim held in an enclosed waterway and which forms part of the MSWA WOW series of swims.
