My Story…
As a cancer patient with BC Cancer since 2019, the BC Cancer Foundation is a very special charity for me. In 2019 I ran my last BMO half marathon and then days later discovered a tumour because I was feeling unwell post race. This resulted in a cancer diagnosis, 2 surgeries over the next few years as well as chemotherapy, radiation and then in 2023 a metastatic cancer diagnosis. The 2025 BMO will be my first time back to the half marathon and back to BMO since then. I am now undergoing a chemotherapy drug trial with BC Cancer for metastatic cancer and am so excited and ready to take on the BMO again.
