My Story…
My Reason to Run...both sides of my family have been affected by Alzheimer's. I lost my grandfather R.T. Bolen on November 27,2019 and my Great Aunt Alice Diminno on July 23, 2023.
Alzheimer's affects everyone differently. My grandfather's struggle was long and slow, but my aunt's was a rather quick decline. Watching your loved ones memories disappear is indescribable; then their health declines faster, because they cannot always remember to tell you about the symptoms and they don't remember their medications. It's extremely painful to watch.
A donation to the Alzheimer's Association will get us one step closer to finding a cure so more families won't have to suffer from this disease. The Alzheimer's Association is a non-profit that aims to end Alzheimer's and other dementias. They do this by supporting research, care and advocacy
