My Story…
Welcome to my fundraising page!
The Alzheimer's Association is a charity I hold very close to my heart. My late grandfather lived with Alzheimer's. It was difficult to see the man who I viewed as my hero struggle with this disease. My grandfather was always the life of the party. He enjoyed cracking jokes, telling stories, and spending time with his family. A lot of who I am today is because of the countless days I spent with him growing up. He taught me to be hard working, relentless in the pursuit of my dreams, and not to take life too seriously.
The most important thing I learned from him was I could do anything I put my mind to. When I began my running career I had doubts, but he never once doubted I'd accomplish more than I'd ever dreamed possible. In honor of his memory I chose to set a fundraising goal outside of my comfort zone. My grandfather always knew how to push me to think bigger, without him I've chosen to push myself to that higher standard. He's instilled that legacy within me and our entire family.
