My Story…
Hi everyone! I'm running the 2025 Pittsburgh half-marathon to support 412Thrive, a local nonprofit that's very close to my heart. 412Thrive creates a community for individuals impacted by breast cancer and genetic mutations, helping them navigate treatment and life beyond with a support system where everyone feels secure and included.
This cause is especially personal to me because my family has been heavily impacted by breast cancer throughout my life. Similarly, I, too have been diagnosed with a genetic mutation that puts me at a higher risk for several cancers. Learning that you carry this kind of mutation can be scary and make you feel incredibly alone, and that's why organizations like 412Thrive are so important. This platform allows folks to share their own stories and their own HOPE, which I believe are such vital components of a healthy outlook. They also provide not only resources and guidance, but a sense of community and belonging that's invaluable for such a difficult journey.
By running this race, I'm hoping to raise awareness and funds so that 412Thrive can continue their vital work and support even more people throughout the Pittsburgh community. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference.
Thank you for your support on this journey!
