My Story…
On May 4, I will be "running for a reason" by participating in the full Pittsbugh Marathon ~ 26.2 miles! My good friend and long time colleague's son was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis at the age of 5. He is now a sophomore in high school. When he was first diagnosed, there was no medical treatment available. Now, there are two medications available, and he is on a medicine that has changed his life for the better. I couldn't be happier to support such a worthy cause. Please consider donating to the NFCA!
While I've completed many half marathons and 5Ks, this will only be my second full marathon. I completed the Honolulu Marathon in 2004, so I'm a bit older now, but I am ready for the challenge! I'll be combining my passion for health and fitness with running for a great cause.
