As the Executive Director of the Squirrel Hill Urban Coalition, I passionately support the many programs and initiatives that have a positive impact on the Squirrel Hill neighborhood and its neighboring communities. I have been a long-time volunteer for a number of local nonprofits, including the Homeless Childrens' Education Fund- a vital organization committed to creating a community where youth experiencing homelessness or unstable housing can leverage their education to flourish as productive, empowered adults. I currently live in Squirrel Hill with my husband, two teenage sons, and our family’s adorable dogs.
Description
Donate to help raise money for Homeless Children's Education Fund (HCEF) during Marathon Weekend. Your donation helps students break the cycle of homelessness through educational achievement. HCEF provides programming for students in kindergarten to age 24. Programming includes afterschool, tutoring support, social and emotional regulation, college and career prep, as well as enrichment, emergency funding and educational grants.
