My Story…
I had such an incredible experience working with the Mario Lemieux Foundation in 2019, 2023 and 2024.
I wanted to give back and raise money for an outstanding cause -- YOU all helped me raise close to $3,000 for the Mario Lemieux Foundation the last three years I participated in the race ($2,717.48 to be exact) and I am FOREVER grateful for all of your help!
I'm training for the Pittsburgh Half Marathon on Sunday, May 4 and I want to raise money for the Mario Lemieux Foundation again! My hope is to at least match the $1,000 that YOU helped me raise in 2019 and 2023, or even exceed that amount, if possible.
The Mario Lemieux Foundation is dedicated to raising funds for cancer research and patient care, as well as Austin's Playroom, an initiative that creates playrooms for children and families in medical facilities.
I am training for the Pittsburgh Half Marathon to honor family members and friends who have fought and are currently battling cancer. I want to support children who are currently battling cancer. I want to help their parents and also their siblings through the foundation's Austin's Playroom initiative. I want to honor YOUR family members who have fought and are currently battling cancer.
And I can think of no better organization than the Mario Lemieux Foundation.
Please help me in my efforts and consider sponsoring me. I'm eternally grateful for all of the love and support you provide. Thank you in advance!
Description
Please donate to help me raise money for the Mario Lemieux Foundation as part of the 2025 DICK'S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon Run for a Reason program!
Since their founding in 1993, the Mario Lemieux Foundation has been focused on finding a cure for cancer by funding research and patient care, and supporting families in challenging medical situations. Through ongoing projects at the Mario Lemieux Center for Blood Cancers, the Mario Lemieux Lymphoma Center, the Mario Lemieux Immunotherapy Center, and the recently established Mario Lemieux Center for Heart Rhythm Care, we support research that translates to clinical trails and innovative therapies that save lives.
