My Story…
Urban Impact Foundation, a faith-based nonprofit organization located in the North Side of Pittsburgh, has been serving faithfully for almost 30 years now, giving students access to after-school programs (athletics, performing arts, education), and exposing them to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We desire to see lives holistically transformed one person, one family, one block at a time.
As a missionary with Urban Impact, it has been a privilege to see people encounter the love of God. As someone that doesn't love running very much, I run for Urban Impact because I believe that God is doing a mighty work in the North Side, and I desire to see more people transformed by Jesus. Am I going to be incredibly sore due to my lack of training? Yes I am. Is it worth it though to be part of providing more opportunities for the students in my community to be cared for, loved, and shown who Jesus is? Absolutely.
