Our story…
Hi everyone! My name is Leah Pachet and I am so lucky to call Arlin Pachet my dad. Devastatingly, my dad passed away of a heart attack in Oct 2024 at the young age of 53. This was extremely shocking and abrupt, as my dad was essentially superman, mountain/road biking often, lifting weights, eating healthy and ice bathing often. My dad was my inspiration in everything, school, athletics, career, attitude. When I started running in August of 2024 my dad was my number 1 supporter, buying me my first pair of quality running shoes a few weeks before he passed and making my goal of a half marathon possible by encouraging me on Strava and commenting on every run.
I want to honour my dad with this half marathon, running for him and fundraising for the heart and stroke foundation in the process. Heart attacks can happen to anyone, even my hero, superman, and I felt it was important to raise awareness and donate to this important cause. I miss you dad, this one’s for you!
