Tenacious J 5K Memorial Race

This race is in honor of our friend, Jessica Buscho, who was an active leader in our Girl Scout Community, a beloved wife and mother of 3, and an activist! She was a huge supporter of girls camping and getting outdoors, becoming leaders in their communities, and sparking change.

All proceeds from this event benefit local Girl Scouts of Northern California and Bright Spot Network--a support organization for young cancer patients who are also parents of small children.

Additional Info

  • With your registration, you will receive a race shirt (Up until April 13, 2025), participation bib, and a finisher's medal.

  • 50% of the proceeds from the Tenacious J 5K goes to local Girl Scouts in the form of scholarships for girls to attend camps and donations towards girls’ Gold Award Projects–the highest award in Girl Scouting.

  • 50% of the proceeds from the Tenacious J 5K goes to the Bright Spot Network so they can continue to provide young cancer survivors who are parents of small children a safe space for individual and familial healing, recovery, and reconnection.

  • The Tenacious J 5K is for all ages and abilities. Come run, jog, walk, or skip your way to the finish line!

  • The Tenacious J 5K will continue rain or shine! If severe weather occurs, please monitor the Tenacious J 5K Facebook group page for updates.

  • There is not a drop off location for your personal items at the Tenacious J 5K. Please only bring what you plan to carry with you during the race.

  • You can register online until the day of the event, and you can even register the morning of the Tenacious J 5K at Freedom High School! If you register after April 13th, we cannot guarantee to have your t-shirt size available.

  • Packet Pickup is Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at Fleet Feet, 6061 Lone Tree Way, Suite H, Brentwood, CA 94513

  • Join us post-race at Brentwood Craft for lunch! 234 Oak Street, Ste. A, Brentwood, CA 94513 (Lunch not included in registration fee.)
