My Story…
My name is Cherish Williams. I'm a resident and employee at ABCCM. What you wouldn't know is that I don't look like what I've been through. I was a victim of a home invasion in Charlotte in 2008. I suffered a severe shotgun wound to my right leg and severed my femur. Even though it took me 2 years to learn how to walk again. I've never been one to accept limitations. There are some things that that I was told I wouldn't be able to do anymore. But in my journey I know God had other plans. I have two jobs and I'm able to walk and move faster than most people. I'm grateful and thankful to say that if you saw me you wouldn't even know. I'm asking for funding cause I believe this is our opportunity to show that you do survive and overcome trauma. Mostly I just want to be a inspiration to those that are given limitations. And to show that you are not your disability. I want to thank ABCCM FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY TO GIVE BACK. I hope you will help me to give this appreciation to our community.
