On May 25th, my family and I will be lacing up for the Shoppers Drug Mart Run for Women in support of women’s mental health programs at Markham Stouffville Hospital. My mom and I have been doing this run for 14 years — and this year, it’s a full family affair with my dad and brother joining!

I run for my own mental health, and for the women in my community who face silent battles every day. Did you know women are twice as likely to experience depression and anxiety and three times more likely to face barriers to care? That’s why this run matters. Every dollar raised helps women access the care they need — and deserve.
