Raise money for Halifax NS Down Syndrome Society
Our mission is to improve lives for persons with Down syndrome and their families through advocacy, education, and support.
The Halifax NS Down Syndrome Society is a volunteer, non-profit organization which acts as a resource to everyone with an interest in Down syndrome in Nova Scotia. We offer information and supports for new parents of children with Down syndrome, offer programs and services including the Art Hive, Playgroup, Toy Library, Team Possibles Art Collective, New Parents Gift Baskets, and sponsor people with Down syndrome and their families to attend a Family Camp weekend at Camp Brigadoon called Camp Wanna Get Down.
A program in immediate need of funding this year is our annual Family Camp. We aim to sponsor people with Down syndrome and their families to attend a family camp weekend at Camp Brigadoon Village called Camp Wanna Get Down, which offers a safe, secure and memorable weekend for everyone involved.
