My Story…
This year Reid has decided to run the Bluenose 2KM kids run in support of Shelter Movers Nova Scotia. Please join Reid, and his family, in supporting his run by making a contribution to this wonderful organization - that has helped over 900 individuals flee abuse in NS since 2019.
Update - Reid's original fundraising goal was $200. After surpassing that within record time, he has increased his goal to $300! Thank you so much to all our family and friends for supporting Reid's run.
Description
Shelter Movers is the only service of its kind in Canada, operating in Vancouver, Toronto, Ottawa, South-Western Ontario, Calgary, Edmonton, Greater Moncton, Montreal and Nova Scotia. Over 2000+ volunteers across the country create a safe and empowering space for survivors of abuse to transition to a better life. Growing evidence suggests a significant long-term societal benefit when the cycle of violence is broken. Shelter Movers takes on the logistical, security and financial burden of moving and storing survivors’ belongings, allowing local social services (shelters, police and hospitals) to focus on their primary objectives. Since being established in 2016, we have completed over 6000 moves across Canada.
