We are excited to officially announce course enhancements are coming for the 13th Annual Asheville Marathon & Half!

The Asheville Marathon & Half races take participants on a running adventure through the best parts of this iconic community. Both courses begin in the heart of Downtown Asheville at Pack Square Park. Runners will traverse city streets and then head north through the historic Montford neighborhood. After a generous descent into the River Arts District, the remainder of both courses follows the banks of the French Broad River through parks and greenways.

The greenway is scenic and flat, and we'll have planned entertainment along the way to keep you revved up (think live music, cheer zones and festive water stations.)

Shuttles to and from the DoubleTree Hotel (Biltmore Village) are free for all race participants.

The Asheville Marathon & Half is a USATF Sanctioned and Certified event and the marathon is a Boston qualifying event.

Receive a complimentary Dri-fit Tech shirt, available in unisex and women's sizes, with your registration, until Sunday, February 23rd at midnight. Beginning Monday, February 24th, shirts will only be available in limited quantities and sizes.

You have the option to have your shirt + bib mailed to you in advance, so you can skip packet pickup! Purchase this option for $15 during registration or from the race store up until February 23rd at midnight. Packets will ship approximately 1 1/2 to 2 weeks prior to race day.

All finishers will receive an awesome commemorative medal as soon as they finish the race!

Run THREE iDaph Events Half Marathons in 2025 and get a gorgeous, bonus Appalachian Trilogy medal!

If you register for at least three out of four iDaph Events half marathons in 2025, you’ll get an awesome extra medal after the last one! The deadline to register for at least three of the races is July 6, 2025 at midnight (so we can order your medals!) Medals will be given out at the 2025 Black Bear Half Marathon event.

Here are the four eligible events to choose from. As long as you are registered for at least THREE of them by July 6th at midnight, you’ll get your extra medal!
