Help Mackenna raise money

For my 10-year anniversary as a cancer survivor, I wanted to challenge myself by entering into my first 5k as a Sunflower Strider to help support others who have battled or are actively battling childhood cancer. You are not alone! 🩶🌻

Here's (a brief part of) my story: 

10 years ago, I was diagnosed with medulloblastoma (stage 4, m2), a malignant brain tumor located in the cerebellum that primarily develops in male children. Upon diagnosis, I was considered a rare case, part of the 1 percentile of those who would typically develop this type of cancer.

Even though I was a young adult, Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and UH welcomed me with open arms and devoted an aggressive treatment plan that worked best for me. I am forever grateful for my healthcare team and the loving people that I was surrounded by during a time a that I needed them the most. 

Even though my treatment plan has ended, my journey is still far from over. As a survivor, I will continue to face new health confrontations created from my battle with cancer, but it won't stop me living a prosperous life and helping others. Like Prayers from Maria, I believe in hope! 🌻🌻🌻
