In May, I will be running the Cleveland Half Marathon with Prayers for Maria. Prayers for Maria is an organization focused on providing childhood cancer patients with the support they desperately need, by reversing the tragic lack of funding and fueling the most meaningful brain cancer research for kids.
I will be running 13.1 miles in honor of my brother-in-law, Joshua Metzger. Josh passed away from brain cancer in 2008 at the tragic age of 8 years old. Although I never had the privilege of meeting Josh, his memory lives on through the stories and laugher shared by his family who miss him so dearly.
